The Saiga-12 IZ-412NM is the tactical variation of the famous semi-automatic shotgun Saiga IZ-109. The shotgun can be used with any type of standard Saiga 12 mags, including hi-cap drums. The top cover features a Picatinny rail on top allowing various optical devices to be attached to aid in sighting. The top cover is also hinged to the rear sight block in order to provide the top-mounted Picatinny rail with the ability to hold zero. An adjustable rear notched sight leaf and front sight post are also standard on the shotgun to assist in accurate firing when no optical device is affixed.

Saiga 12 shotguns were designed by the world-renown Russian engineer Mikhail Kalashnikov, who was the mastermind behind the creation of legendary AK-47. These shotguns are developed on the base of the Kalashnikov assault rifle.
